Full Blood Count (with 5 part White CellDifferential)
Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate
A Full Blood Count (FBC) provides information about the
different cells in the blood, these include the red blood cells,
white blood cells and platelets. Red blood cells contain haemoglobin which carries oxygen to tissues
throughout the
body whereas white blood cells contribute to the immune system and protect the body from bacteria
and viruses. FBC
testing is used to screen for disorders like anaemia and for infections.
