Side effects
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea,
constipation, fatigue, light-headedness, excess gas, gallstones, acid reflux, injection site
reactions and hypoglycaemia in type 2 diabetes patients. Serious side effects, though rare, can

Managing side effects
Side effects are typically mild and decrease over time.
Tips include maintaining a regular injection schedule, staying hydrated, eating smaller meals,
increasing fibre intake, and using relaxation techniques for headaches. If you feel nauseous while
on Mounjaro, it’s advisable to steer clear of strongly flavoured or aromatic foods. Additionally,
it’s recommended to avoid consuming fats and greasy foods while taking Mounjaro.
